“Swiss Alps Tour 2025
This was Ride Europe Tours first adventure, touring with people you have never met is a daunting task for anyone but the preparation was excellent, a tour booklet, the necessary Swiss vignette, ferry tickets and all the information you could need all taken care of.
An early start at Dover gave time to get to know both Josh’s and heading to Calais it was clear this was going to be fun. Riding to the first hotel, which was excellent, they had allowed time for lunch in Bruges and to enjoy Brussels the next day, this wasn’t all about being on bikes by 9am and go. Heading for Luxembourg was a mix of country roads and some motorway, as the temperature was in the mid-thirties this allowed us to try to cool down a little. The theme of the tour was adapting and there was never any pressure to be somewhere in a hurry. The accommodation at the Air B&b’s was great but they were a little remote, something the guys realised and took on board. Heading into Switzerland the stay in Basel was in another great hotel. By the time we got to the second Air B&b in Switzerland the weather turned, so we had a day off the bikes. With the mountains still covered by clouds the next day Josh suggested we rode to Italy for lunch, Lake Como, which was great. Then Blue skies returned and we spent the next day on the mountain passes.
Heading for home the stops were also quality hotels, Dijon and Troyes are great places for restaurants, bars and atmosphere.
Whilst this is a new company the care given to look after us was second to none, even arranging Uber’s to take us to the restaurant. Both Josh H. and Josh K. Learned a lot from the trip and I have no doubt future tours will be even better, they really care about their customers, always doing their best to ensure they enjoy their holiday. I would recommend them highly and I will be riding with them again.

“Wow! what an adventure from start to finish!
Josh and Josh (yes two Josh’s) communicated well with me from the outset, answered all my questions in full and settled my mind that this kind of holiday was absolutely right for me, and more so that time spent on a bike with them as pillion would be a fun and exciting adventure.
They organised the route, accommodations, and itinerary, without any fuss, leaving me nothing to do other than pack my gear and turn up on the day.
This wasn’t just a riding tour, but an amazing holiday with the most beautiful ever changing, rolling scenery, great city breaks and activities, with a couple of stopover rest days to get our breath back...perfect!
As you would expect, some curveballs were thrown at us, as can be the nature of this type of holiday. Such as the weather conditions one day did not allow us to get to places in Switzerland that were planned, and we ended up in Italy instead! Any changes to the itinerary were resolved by the Guys with our approval and a great sense of humour, no dramas... great outcome.
In conclusion… I had the best time imaginable, far more than anticipated, laughs and smiles till my jaw ached, made some great new friends. .... and my photo album is bursting with fabulous memories..... and I’m more than happy to vouch for Ride Europe Tours to any future pillions or riders.
Great fun, professionals, and highly recommended ...Thanks Guys, wish You all the best x”

We operate a ‘2nd man drop off’ system. If you’re a seasoned rider, then you’ll know
this system well. We use it as it keeps the group moving and there’s no waiting
around for riders to catch the group up. When riding in larger groups on main roads
we like to have everyone in a more staggered formation so you’re not flicking stones
directly at the person behind you bike or their visor.
On our riding days, we can either split the group down into a faster and slower group
or we can all go out together. We will still operate the same ‘2nd man drop off system’
however, on the longer stretches of roads we will allow for riders to ‘stretch their legs’
if they so wish to. No-one overtakes the lead rider unless signaled to.
Everyone will be added to a Whats-app group so if for and reason you get split up
from the group you can let us know you are safe. You will all have the route given to
you each day and we will give you all GPX files for the riding days if you have a GPX supporting device.
You do not need to stay in the group to enjoy your riding holiday, if you prefer to go off on your own and meet up at the accommodation each night, that is absolutely fine by us…. its your holiday after all.

Bike Safety

We always take the necessary precautions to ensure that our guests bikes are safe over night but that being said, it is ultimately your responsibility to ensure your bike is locked, alarmed and even possibly covered if you wish.
